Now known as the Clubmaster — a variation of the browline style of eyeglasses made popular in the 1950s.
Like the browline, Clubmaster are designed to draw attention to the wearer’s natural browline by using a dark or contrasting material only along the top portion of the frame and temples. The lenses are typically held in place by a thin metal frame and are of a squared-off round shape.
Technically, the term ‘Clubmaster’ is exclusive to Ray-Ban, but has come to refer to the style in general. Stylistically, Clubmasters are a bit more formal-leaning.
Unlike the clubmaster of yesteryears, our clubmaster has a not so thick upper portion in order to appeal to a more younger generation. Today, the Clubmaster is experiencing a remarkable revival as a classic yet hip frame.
